Product Safety Notice
columbus v2 car seat – NZ only

Consistent with our commitment to safety, phil&teds is issuing a Product Safety Notice on columbus v2 car seats with a production date January 2016 and September 2016 - available for sale in New Zealand between March 2016 and December 2016.
Routine internal testing found the car seat’s harness may not completely lock after adjusting, which could result in the harness strap not working when needed. There have been no reported incidents of this occurring.
While only a small number of the columbus v2 car seats may be affected, all users should check their seat’s production date - printed on the identification label on the lower right-hand side of the base - before checking their seat.

If found to be within the affected production date range (2016/01/01 - 2016/09/30), discontinue using your car seat until you complete our simple, tool free, self check test. If your car seat is in the affected date range but has a green "QC" sticker this means it has already been checked and passed by one of our technicians, and is safe to use.

How to test your columbus v2 car seat
If your car seat does not pass EITHER of the self check test components, please complete the registration form to receive a replacement columbus v2 car seat.
My harness did not pass the test and I'd like the replacement
I am unable or unsure how to complete the test and would like to contact p&t care team
If your car seat’s production date is before January 2016 (2016/01/01) or after September 2016 (2016/09/30), then it is not affected and still good to use.
No other phil&teds car seat is affected. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your support.
