In 2015, inventor, designer and marketer of baby products phil&teds® reached a significant milestone on the global design stage, receiving top accolades at the internationally renowned Red Dot Product Design Awards. The recognition marked an important moment in the brand’s design journey, one that reinforced its commitment to innovation, performance and purposeful design.
The namesake phil&teds® brand received a prestigious Red Dot award for its verve™ stroller, while sister brand Mountain Buggy® was also honoured with two Red Dot awards for the urban jungle™ luxury collection and nano™ buggies.
phil&teds® and Mountain Buggy® CEO, Campbell Gower, said the three award-winning products exemplified the brands’ long-standing focus on thoughtful engineering and real-world performance.
“It’s a huge honour to be recognised as one of the world’s best in design. To see our name on the winners list alongside well-known brands such as Ferrari and Apple, is really inspiring.

He said the recognition reflected a deep pride in designing products that balance form, function and identity.

Established more than 60 years ago, the German Red Dot Design Awards are recognised as one of the world’s most prestigious international design competitions. In 2015, winners were selected by a jury of 38 industry expert including eminent fashion designer Datuk Jimmy Choo from more than 4,900 entries across 56 countries.
Judges applauded the phil&teds® verve™ stroller for its flexibility, use of high-quality materials, clear lines and ergonomic design. The Mountain Buggy® nano™ impressed with its compact form and was recognised as an ideal travel companion due to its small pack size. Meanwhile, the urban jungle™ luxury collection was praised for its use of classical materials and patterns, delivering a stroller with a timeless and elegant appearance.
Mr Gower said the trio of awards helped reinforce the brands’ position as a trusted choice for parents seeking design-led, practical solutions.
